Polymer clay is versatile, colourful and addictive!

We will begin by making a colourful clay ‘cane’ that can be sliced to produce wonderful ‘kaleidoscope’ type patterns for earrings, brooches, beads, bracelets and more. Polymer Clay can be easily baked in a domestic oven to produce lightweight, durable jewellery. You will have plenty of time to experiment with a wide variety of shapes, patterns, colours and new techniques and will leave with an assortment of finished pieces. Prepare to be amazed!

Includes homemade lunch and refreshments

Melanie Says……….

Hello, I’m Melanie Blaikie. My interest in all things shiny and sparkly began at a very early age and for as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed being creative.

I started my career with what was probably my dream job – Diamond Valuer with DeBeers, London.  I continued to become a designer for some of the biggest names in the jewellery world – Asprey, Garrad & Tiffany

I have been teaching silver clay and polymer clay workshops since 2004. I am a qualified Art Clay Instructor and a certified trainer for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, so you can relax and know that I will do my utmost to ensure that the time you spend with me is a positive and enjoyable learning experience.
