Trevor Osborne – Self Portrait, Van Gogh Style
All Materials are Included
Van Gogh produced many self portraits in the course of his life. They represent the artist’s ongoing fascination with who he was but also his exploration of how light falls on flesh and the beautiful, complexity of colour produced. Add to this his characteristic, expressive, brushwork and for the artist it becomes a great, fun, challenge.
On the course you will learn how he set up to paint his portraits; how he drew them and how he used brushwork to say more than a photograph.
The great news is that, when we look at his work it is clear that detail and accuracy were not his main goal but statement and expression were.
This day is suitable for anyone who wants to have fun with paint, whatever your level of experience.
Includes homemade lunch, refreshments and cream tea
