This workshop is an all handstitch project, you will learn how to foil velvet, use handstitch in decorative ways, make these miniature embroideries into brooches or maybe a little larger pin cushions. A calm and meditative day of stitch.

About the Tutor
Angie is a textile artist and tutor, who lives and works in Ledbury, Herefordshire. While a student she won the prestigious Charles Henry Foyle Trust Award for Stitched Textiles with her piece ‘Unfolding Word’ and had ‘Shroud’ accepted for Art of the Stitch.
Her artwork is inspired by many themes but particularly poetry or text and the natural world, particularly plant forms.
She teaches to Guilds and groups all over the country, and has been teaching in Australia and New Zealand. Her latest book called ‘Stitch Cloth Paper and Paint’ is a current best seller for Search Press. Her work has also featured in many other publications including Embroidery, Stitch magazine, Cloth Paper Scissors, Quilting Arts, Hot Textiles by Kim Thitichai and The Encyclopedia of Embroidery by Val Holmes and many more
