On this beginners or improvers workshop we will be concentrating on colour mixing, brush strokes and paint consistency. We will be painting humming birds, bees and flower heads and trying to get some movement in to our work. The weekend will include accumulating all our skills learnt to make a compositional painting with a loose background. I will supply all the reference and give lots of guidance on drawing, a perfect weekend for those who have painted with me before and want to explore some different subjects or those who want to have a go!
We supply all the materials including artist quality water colour and paper but the class includes advice on what colour pallet and materials to buy to continue your watercolour journey.
Includes homemade lunch and refreshments both days
About your Tutor
Bev Caleno is a successful watercolour painter who sells her work locally and further afield. She is a member of Colchester Art Society and has previously had paintings pre-selected for The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colour. Bev continues to hone her skills; painting with many of the talented artists that visit the studios.
What you will need to bring
All materials and equipment are included, however you may wish to bring your own brushes if you already do some painting.
