Rosie MacRae – Needle Felting Festive Fun
ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
This workshop is especially suitable for beginners; absolutely no experience necessary.
Join Rosie and learn how to sculpt your favourite animals from Marino wool. The theme is winter and festive, but you can make whatever takes your fancy.
Using the needle felting method you will be able to produce beautiful, soft animal figures, under the patient guidance of Rosie. She will teach you how to make a flexible frame and then gradually build up layers of wool to sculpt your figure before attaching the arms and legs.
During many years in textiles and visiting numerous exhibitions, events and craft shows, I have never come across a felt artist as talented Rosie and we are lucky enough to have her right on our doorstep, another example of the talent in the small town of Harwich.
Includes lunch, refreshments and mince pies
Since restarting our events in summer 2020, we have introduced changes to the way we operate; including reduced class sizes. The studio has been re organised to enable everyone to remain socially distant whilst at their workstation and hand sanitiser is provided. A large video screen has been mounted on the wall to enable everyone to view demonstrations from where they are working, eliminating the need to gather around the tutor. Lunch is now in the form of a packup to be eaten at your workstation; it may be served hot or cold. Drinks are available all day on a self serve basis.
Please try to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the event begins to allow plenty of time to get settled in. The wearing of face masks is not required whilst at your workstation, but we would ask you to use one when moving about the studio.
