This day is ideal for beginners as well as those wishing to build up a library of different stitch effects- and for those with a bit more experience wishing to consolidate their knowledge in the techniques available to the machine embroiderer. You will produce a multitude of samples as we look at variegated stitch patterns, stitch textures to include Granite stitch, vermicelli, straight stitch with free machining, cable stitch with decorative stitches, wrapped cords, stitching in mid air, two thread stitching – all with the free machine embroidery foot.
An hour in the afternoon will be devoted to exploring the possibilities with water soluble fabric and creating a new fabric using the free machine embroidery foot.
These samples could be made up into a fabric booklet for your own future reference.
