Inspired by Klimt There’s a wealth of design inspiration in the artwork of Gustav Klimt. Perfect for a one day workshop. A simple design can be formed quite quickly using collage on cotton velvet, transfoils, sweetie foils, silks and organza, topped off with an afternoon of machine embroidery. A very popular workshop for all abilities.
The Trees Leaves learn about how to machine embroider tree shapes use them as texture for printing and finish off by layering up all the printing and stitching into a lovely little piece to frame up. Inspired by trees and leaf shapes. Some experience with free machine embroidery would be helpful.
Tantalising Textile Tag Books I’ve added my own style to these little tag books. Techniques and materials include calico, Timtex, stamping, image transfer, and hand and machine embroidery. Great fun for all abilities.
Each day includes homemade lunch, refreshments and cream tea
