On this new workshop designed by Angie, learn ways to recreate tree bark and lichens using mixed media and stitch. Get to grips with Xpandaprint and Tyvek modern materials for making heavy texture. In between layers adding machine or hand embroidery to enhance the surface with flashes of colour.

Includes homemade lunch, and refreshments

About the Artist

Angie is a textile artist and tutor, who lives and works in Ledbury, Herefordshire. While a student she won the prestigious Charles Henry Foyle Trust Award for Stitched Textiles with her piece ‘Unfolding Word’ and had ‘Shroud’ accepted for Art of the Stitch.
Her artwork is inspired by many themes but particularly poetry or text and the natural world, particularly plant forms.
She teaches to Guilds and groups all over the country, and has been teaching in Australia and New Zealand. Her latest book called ‘Stitch Cloth Paper and Paint’ is a current best seller for Search Press. Her work has also featured in many other publications including Embroidery, Stitch magazine, Cloth Paper Scissors, Quilting Arts, Hot Textiles by Kim Thitichai and The Encyclopedia of Embroidery by Val Holmes and many more
