Two Day Course Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th May

The weekend will begin with an explanation of equipment that we will be using including, paint, paper, brushes etc.
We will concentrate on painting woods in layers from light to dark with advice on how to preserve the lightest tones. Covering washes, mixed washes, resists, brush strokes and paint consistency, we will also talk about colour mixing and how to keep the colours vibrant and fresh. Working on 1/4 sheets you will produce at least 3 completed paintings to add to your portfolio.

About your tutor
Bev Caleno is a successful watercolour painter who sells her work locally and further afield. She is a member of Colchester Art Society and has previously had paintings pre-selected for The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colour. Bev continues to hone her skills; painting with many of the talented artists that visit the studios.
What you will need to bring
All artist quality materials and paper are provided, but it might be useful to bring your own brushes.
