Learn about the beautiful art of glass fusing, the design process and techniques to produce stunning pieces of glass work. During the day you will produce a square panel featuring your own unique dragonfly or bee design. From your drawn design you will transfer shapes onto glass and learn how to cut safely and accurately. Using your cut pieces, layers of stringers, glass frit, glass line paint you will assemble your piece. Fenella will then take your pieces away to be fired; your finished fused artworks will be ready for collection within a week or two. Your pieces will come back in box along with a wooden base in which your panel will stand.

About the Artist
Fenella has been working with kiln formed glass for over 25 year. She was first introduced to this versatile process in the mid 1990’s at Art College and majored in fusing glass as an art form; carrying out many experiments on compatibility in her garage using a tiny ceramic painting kiln. As a full time artist Fenella takes on commissions large and small and exhibits and sells her work. She enjoys teaching, eager to pass on her skill and knowledge.
What you will need to bring
All materials and equipment is supplied, but please can you bring one or two large scale images of bees and dragonflies to be used as reference.
