Two day course Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June
ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
Ecoprinting is a magical process that uses the natural dyes and tannins in plant materials to create fabulous prints on both paper and fabric. This workshop is designed to develop all the skills and techniques you need to produce beautiful unique prints on a variety of different papers and fabric. With these papers and fabrics, we will then explore how they can be used to create a range of beautiful handmade books, to include Coptic Bound and a Japanese Stab Book.
On the first day, we will explore and experiment with a combination of different mordants, tannins and natural dyes using a variety of different papers, cards and fabrics. You will learn how to create high quality, well-defined prints using a wide range of leaf and foliage materials.
On the second day, we will focus on transforming our beautiful prints into a range of spectacular unique books. With the offcuts from the prints, you will also have the opportunity to create a range of individual greetings cards.
Includes homemade lunch and refreshments both days
