Ecoprinting is a magical process that uses the natural tannins and dyes held within a plant to create some spectacular marks and prints on paper and fabric.
In this workshop we will explore how Ecoprint can be complimented and enhanced by the use of additional natural dyes and tannins.
It is suitable for beginners or improvers who are keen to achieve clear defined Ecoprints combined with a variety of natural dyes, that could be used in many varied textile projects. In addition to experimenting with a variety of fabrics, natural dyes and Ecoprint techniques, the workshop will include the printing of a silk scarf with Natural dyes.
As part of the workshop we will also consider what equipment you need to start ecoprinting at home, simple mordanting techniques, where to source fabrics, supplies and equipment.
