About the Artist

Georgina Bellamy is an embroidery artist and designer from London. Graduating from The London College of Fashion with a degree in embroidery and surface design, Georgina has gone on to work for many designers and artists as well as creating her own art work for her company “That Embroidery Girl”.

She now teaches 3D embroidery widely, as well as exhibiting nationally and in Europe.

Much of her work focuses on creating 3D structures out of goldwork- metal wires often used traditionally in military regalia. The end result is a very hard, solid sculpture very similar to jewellery.

Leaning on traditional techniques the class will learn a new modern way to create goldwork embroidery in Georgina’s distinctive style.
