Jan Munro – Contemporary, Acrylic Still Life***Only 4 Places Remaining***

Date: 17th October 2021
Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Spaces: 2

Join Jan Munro on this one day workshop and explore her process for producing contemporary still lifes.

Using objects provided by Jan or brought in by yourself as reference, begin by making individual simple ‘modern’ sketches, rather than setting up and working from a still life in the traditional way. You will then prepare a surface with colour and collage and learn some acrylic texturing effects, thinking about a limited colour palette.
Using what you have learnt from making the original sketches you will plan a composition and start your painting.

Includes homemade lunch and refreshments

About the artist

I have been painting for 20 years. I started with Watercolours and did the City and
Guilds 2 year Watercolour course. My work has been shown locally and in London,
Scotland, and Norfolk as well as On line.
Since then I have explored Pastels and Acrylics and have been made a member of
The Pastel Society in 2015 and had work in The R.I exhibitions.
I love Landscape and Still Life painting and exploring ways to create texture and
pattern with paint. I go beyond reality and use my own interpretations and ideas
that I see in my subjects.
