This neat little basket is ideal for trips out foraging food for free. Being shallow in design it’s ideal for delicate items such as mushrooms, berries and herbs, but is also great for cut flowers.
Working with Jo you will learn about the different types and characteristics of willow used for weaving as she takes you through all the stages to make your very own basket. You will be able to adapt the size, handle style and aspects of the weave to realize a unique basket that you can be truly proud of.
If the weather is fine and not too cold this event may take place within our walled garden.
Willow weaving is a physical activity and requires reasonable hand strength.
Includes homemade lunch and refreshments
