Ken will join us for this full day Watercolour workshop, which is for painters of all abilities. The emphasis on painting rather than drawing will provide you with many useful hints and tips and will give you the opportunity to learn simple techniques such as: brush control, colour mixing, tonal values, composition and limited pallet control, all at your own pace.
Whether as a beginner or an improver Ken’s workshop is sure to give you freedom to express your true creativity.
This day is aimed at beginners and improvers, but even the more experienced will have something to gain from working with a different artist.
Includes refreshments
About the Artist
Born in the Peak District and now living close to the sea in East Anglia, Ken has a fascination with nature and the barren beauty found in remote locations such as mountains, moorland and estuaries It is the emotional response to these subjects that is at the heart of his work. The desire to create and capture atmosphere, light and drama is an important factor in his paintings. To be able to push a landscape or seascape to the edge of abstraction whilst retaining it’s origins provides Ken with both inspiration and emotion.
