What you will need to bring
For a 6” storage cube: Outer fabric – 1 x fat quarter • Lining – 1 x fat quarter • Wadding – min 15” x 20” • A3 sheet of paper to make your own pattern template. • Ruler, pencil and paper scissors.
For a larger, rectangular storage box 12” x 8” x 8”: Outer fabric – enough scraps to create a piece of fabric approx 22” x 26”, OR 26 x 4 ½” squares (as in the photo, right). • Lining – 22” x 26” • Wadding – 24” x 28” • Binding – enough to create a strip approx 1 ½” wide x 45” long.
AVOID directional fabrics and BEWARE of fat quarters that are not cut straight or are shorter than a minimum of 22” wide x 18” long.
