This is a fantastic one day workshop for students who would like to learn to paint people in water colour, Marilyn says “People are just a few blobs of paint, using the light and dark shapes you see. Attempt paintings you thought were difficult with ease”.

More about the artist:

Marilyn Allis is a watercolour artist working in a loose and impressionistic style, using strong vibrant colours capturing movement, and the energy of a scene. Marilyn won the SAA artist of the year title in 1999.

This workshop takes place in our specially designed art studio, course fee includes all refreshments and a deli lunch.

Size 16 brush  (mine are £12.99,  workshop price)

Saunders waterford ROUGH paper either 1/4 imp or 1/2imperial your preference. (£20 for a gummed block 1/4imp,  workshop price)

Artist quality water colour paints (£5 a 14ml tube, workshop price)

Putty eraser

2 or 4B pencil

Water container

Kitchen towel or old rag

Ruler optional

A reference photo to paint
