Paul Alcock - Out and About Sketching Harwich

PRICE INCLUDES A4 sketchbook, 3 brush markers and a fine line drawing pen RRP £25 approx.

Paul is a prolific sketcher, using his sketchbooks to record daily life where ever he is; honing his skills as an artist and producing reference for future paintings.

You can join Paul on a trip around Old Harwich with its wealth of historic buildings and marine subjects and be introduced to one of his favourite methods of sketching. Using brush markers in three different shades of grey on tonal paper you will be able describe light and shade using a limited tonal range, capturing the atmosphere of the scene quickly and to great effect. Paul will offer guidance on subjects to draw, composition, perspective and a wealth of other drawing tips that he has learned from years of sketching ‘in the field’.

Depending on the weather part or all of the day can be switched to the studio, using reference material.

Includes homemade lunch and refreshments
