We are very lucky to have booked Wendy Dolan, author of Layer, Paint and Stitch, who rarely comes to our region to teach.
This course offers the chance to develop a variety of skills in a creative way. Applied fabrics, texture mediums, fabric painting, and freehand machine embroidery will be combined to create exciting textured surfaces. Fabrics will be pieced, patched, layered and textured, then worked into with paint and machine embroidery as you interpret a landscape image in textiles.
Suitable for all levels of ability.
Includes homemade lunch and refreshments both days

Inspiration
Living close to the South Downs, the landscape provides a constant source of inspiration for her stitched textile designs. Wendy’s current theme, ‘A Sense of Place’ records memorable journeys and locations, using fabric, stitch and texture. Architectural structures, textures, and patterns also provide her with a wealth of ideas to enjoy exploring.
Design
Wendy records her ideas with sketch, torn paper collage and her camera is always on hand.
