Harwich Festival of Arts 2018 (HF18)
Now, I don’t normally start going on about this until nearer the time, when we’re getting really excited. However, I thought it’s worth a mention early on, especially if you are in the Essex area. The first meeting was held the other evening – attended by Nigel (I was teaching so missed it) – and it seems that next year is going to be a bit special. The Essex Summer of art is to celebrate it’s 10th year and is being launched in Harwich alongside our own festival. Basically, there will be even more going on in June/July 2018 and the organisers of the Visual Arts are looking for anyone who has a good idea and wants to get involved. The next meeting is at Old Bank Studios on Tuesday 24th October, so let me know your ideas or if you would like to offer some of your time and I can put it to the panel. Following on from the success of the Willow Whale, I have another public art project planned for HF18, which may need some arty/crafty types to lend a hand to later on; I’ll keep you posted. |
